DANCE


Caitlin Elledge is a professional ballet dancer, choreographer, educator, and arts leader based in Austin., TX. They serve as Artistic Director of ATX Artists for Social Impact and Capital Contemporary Ballet, leading creative initiatives that use dance as a platform for artistic collaboration, community engagement, and social dialogue.

Originally from Hattiesburg, Caitlin trained in the Vaganova Method under distinguished instructors including Henry Danton (Royal Ballet, Sadler’s Wells), Yvonne Bergeron, Arkadiy Orohovsky (Kyiv State Choreographic School, National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Ballet El Paso, Houston Ballet), and Katya Orohovsky (Kirov Academy, Nutmeg Conservatory). During their early training, Caitlin performed principal and soloist roles including Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Swanilda in Coppélia, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, and the Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, along with additional soloist and corps de ballet roles in productions such as Dracula and Cinderella. In 2015, Caitlin moved to Nashville to join the Professional Training Division at Nashville Ballet. They performed principal and soloist roles in School of Nashville Ballet showcases, including the Peasant Pas de Deux from Giselle, the Pas de Trois from La Bayadère, and Spring from The Four Seasons, and appeared in contemporary works by Shibaz Ujima and Chris Stuart. After two years, Caitlin earned a competitive position with Nashville Ballet’s Second Company and received full scholarships to the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive in 2016 and 2017, as well as scholarships to Cincinnati Ballet and Texas Ballet Theatre. During this time, Caitlin trained with renowned instructors including Chris Stuart, Paul Vasterling, Victoria Simon, Maniya Barredo, Denise Eason, Guenchen Fu, and Nick Mullikin.

Now based in Austin, Caitlin teaches at Central Texas Youth Ballet and has performed as a soloist with Ventana Ballet and choreographed works for events including 5x7 Dance Festival, the Barefoot Ball, and Earth Night. As an educator, Caitlin has guest taught at institutions including the Austin Dance Conservatory, Ballet Academy North, Millennium Dance Complex, Columbia Dance Center, DancEast, Soles Dance Center, and Alabama Youth Ballet. Their students have earned scholarships and training opportunities with Houston Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Alabama Ballet, The Rock School for Dance Education, Bolshoi Ballet Summer Intensive (New York), Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and the College of Charleston Performing Arts Program.
